Time Progression
Game Calendar
Vengeful Survival: Story game uses a dual time system: real-time and game-time. The game calendar tracks your progress through years and months, independent of real-world time.
- Game Year: Starts at 2000 (or custom starting year)
- Game Month: Tracks months within the year (1-12)
- Real-Time: Your actual time passes normally
- Game-Time: Advances only when you use time skip
Time Skipping Mechanics
Time skipping is how you advance the game calendar and trigger time-based events:
How Time Skip Works
- Location: Available on the Dashboard
- Function: Advances game time by a set amount (typically 1 month)
- Energy Cost: No energy consumed
- Effects: Triggers monthly events and updates
What Happens When You Skip Time
- Salary Payments: Monthly job salaries are paid
- Rent Collection: Property rent is collected (if managers are active)
- Monthly Events: Game events are generated and applied
- Crop Growth: Crops advance toward harvest date
- Animal Aging: Animals age and may reproduce or expire
- Loan Payments: Monthly loan payments are processed
- Order Generation: New shop orders may appear
Real-Time vs Game-Time
Understanding the difference is crucial:
Real-Time
- Your actual clock time
- Affects energy regeneration
- Determines when you can play
- Does NOT affect game events
Game-Time
- The game's internal calendar
- Only advances with time skip
- Triggers monthly events
- Affects crop growth, rent, salaries
Time-Based Actions
Crop Growth
Crops grow based on game-time, not real-time:
- Each crop has a growth time in game days
- Rice: 120 days (~4 months)
- Tomato: 90 days (~3 months)
- Wheat: 100 days (~3.3 months)
- Time skip advances crops toward harvest
Rent Collection
Property rent is collected monthly:
- Manual collection: Available anytime
- Manager collection: Automatic on time skip
- Tenant moves: Happen on time skip
- Rent income: Added to balance sheet monthly
Salary Payments
Job salaries are paid monthly:
- Automatic payment on time skip
- Added to bank balance
- XP rewards included
- Based on job rate and multiplier
Monthly Events and Updates
Each time skip triggers monthly game events:
- Event Generation: Random events are created
- Event Application: Events affect your finances or gameplay
- Event Resolution: You can resolve events for XP rewards
- Early Resolution: Bonus XP for quick resolution
Strategic Time Skipping
When to Skip Time
- • After Planting: Skip to advance crops toward harvest
- • Low Energy: Skip when energy is low to trigger events without consuming energy
- • Waiting for Income: Skip to collect salaries and rent
- • Event Farming: Skip frequently to generate more events for XP
- • Loan Payments: Skip to make loan payments and improve credit
When NOT to Skip Time
- • Before Important Actions: Complete actions before skipping
- • Pending Events: Resolve current events first
- • Low Cash: Ensure you have funds for loan payments
- • Unprepared: Don't skip if you're not ready for events
